You Don't Have To Do It Alone: Healing Out Loud During Mental Health Awareness Month

Listen, if no one told you today, you can heal out loud.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and while the world is finally getting a little louder about mental health, there’s still this pressure to keep it cute, quiet, and in control. But healing is messy sometimes. It’s emotional. It’s sacred. And most of all, it’s not meant to be done alone.

As a therapist and woman who’s walked the road of healing more than once, I created the Girl, You Got This: A Real-Life Guide to Tackling Anxiety workbook because I’ve seen what it looks like when women feel stuck, anxious, and silenced by their stress. I also know the freedom that comes from learning how to ground yourself, speak your truth, and breathe again, all on your terms.

So whether you’re just starting therapy, returning after a break, or doing the personal work in between, let this be your reminder: Healing is necessary!

Here are 3 journal prompts to explore this month:

  1. What has anxiety been trying to protect me from?

  2. In what moments have I felt the most safe and grounded?

  3. If healing could talk, what would it say to me today?

Need a little more support? Grab my new workbook Girl, You Got This, launching May 16th. It’s filled with real-life strategies, calming worksheets, and reflective prompts to help you navigate your healing journey with intention. Because you don’t have to do it alone! I'm rooting for you!

Your favorite therapist!
